Since 2001 folks have enjoyed Andy’s Hammered Dulcimer music. Concentrating mostly on writing his own music, Andy also plays some Traditional Irish, Scottish and American tunes. He is self taught in playing the Hammered Dulcimer and has written many lovely tunes that he refers to as “Adirondack Classical Music”

Over the years Andy has attended Master Dulcimer Workshops conducted by Dan Duggan (perhaps the best Hammered Dulcimer player in the country ). He has honed his skills through these workshops and has expanded his repertoire of music.

Adding to his wonderful Hammered Dulcimer music Andy is also a singer /songwriter performing vocal and acoustical guitar pieces, again writing most of his own music. His range of songs includes ballads, love songs and folk tunes. His vocal and guitar playing round out Andy’s ability to please audiences.

Whether playing his Hammered Dulcimer, Guitar or singing Andy has become very passionate about his music and enjoys sharing it with folks. He has played for a variety of venues but most enjoys “giving of his talent” to non-profit organizations. Andy explains, “I have been most fortunate through out my life and just want to give something back to our communities, which have given me so much through the years, sharing is what it’s all about.

Some of the venues Andy has performed at are, The Bolton Landing Fabulous Folk Festival, Lake George Historical Association’s Annual Holiday Festival, The Lake George Annual Talent Show. Places where he has performed also include Timberlock (on Indian Lake, Sabael, NY), The Coffee Planet (in Ballston Spa, NY), Lake George Library, and Westmount Health Care Facility.

Andy also enjoys playing his Hammered Dulcimer for wedding ceremonies, some of which he has written the wedding songs for.
